Hi, I'm Sarah...

I'm the founder of Yoga Body Birmingham and I am passionate about all things pregnancy, birth and postpartum related.


Pregnant and postpartum women seem to be a forgotten segment of society. All focus is on the baby, with very little regard or care shown to the person who has given so much of herself up to this point and will continue to do so for the rest of her life. 


Older generations and friends who have gone before giving us the nod that this is our lot in life, it's selfish to want more and we should feel grateful...


Well, I call BS on that.


How many times has a class facilitator, Dr or nurse addressed you as 'mum'?


I remember this happening to me in the early days of motherhood, when I had no idea what I was doing or who I was and thinking 'my name is Sarah'.


I love being a mum, but I'm still a whole person in my own rite. I have wants and needs and it is not selfish to seek fulfilment!


This is what I hope my classes provide, from pregnancy and beyond. I provide a welcoming, warm and friendly space to join others in a similar life stage to you, having the same experiences, doubts and worries, and invite you to be supportive and supported. To simply know that you are not alone, you are remarkable and sometimes this stuff is just hard. 


I invite you to join me for a yoga class, we move our bodies in a positive way. We connect with our breath, our body and our Self. We find our inner peace and we nurture it to allow it to nurture us amongst the chaos and the noise of the outside World. We chat and drink tea, eat biscuits and rant about our partners and mothers in law! We laugh and connect and hopefully leave feeling just a little bit more ourselves.
